Motorhome Purchase Service
We handle the entire purchase process on your behalf - vehicle search, dealer negotiations, paperwork, and pick-up day support. In English, end to end.

Buying a motorhome in France as a non-resident involves more than finding the right vehicle. Dealers communicate in French, paperwork is in French, and the purchasing process is different from what most buyers are used to. The purchase service exists to handle all of that for you, so you can focus on the trip ahead.
Deciding on a Vehicle
Top 10 Shortlist
Not sure where to start? As part of the service, we put together a personalised Top 10 shortlist of vehicles based on your specific requirements - budget, layout, size, features, and preferred brands. Each option is scored against your criteria so you can compare at a glance and focus only on the vehicles most likely to suit you.
Vehicles can be sourced from our motorhomes currently for sale or through any dealer across France. We have experience of most dealerships and can direct you to the most reputable and reliable.
New Orders
If your schedule allows you also have the option to put in a custom order for a new motorhome completely bespoke to your requirements. Current waiting times are normally around 6 months. No fixed delivery dates are given ahead of time so some trip planning flexibility can be necessary.
Making Contact & Arranging the Sale
Getting a response from French dealers is notoriously difficult - emails are frequently ignored and a phone call in French is usually required just to make an initial enquiry. We handle all dealer contact on your behalf: initial enquiry, follow-up, viewings, technical questions, and negotiation. You don’t need to speak French or navigate any of this alone.
Purchase Methods
Clients have three main ways to secure a vehicle depending on what you are most comfortable with:
1. No financial commitment
Hire a car or motorhome on arrival in France and view previously identified vehicles in person.
2. Secure with deposit
Deposit amounts are typically 10% which will reserve you a vehicle for up to 4 weeks. You will sign a sales document with the dealer and pay in full on inspection.
3. Purchase in full
Whilst uncomfortable for some, this is the most common method with the main benefit being that all the registration paperwork and vehicle preparation can be completed before you arrive.
Vehicle Inspections
For an additional fee, we can have an external nationwide company travel to the motorhome you are interested in and produce an inspection report attesting to its current condition. This is most appropriate for older vehicles with higher kms. If buying new or fairly new from a dealer, existing laws mean you are well protected and post-purchase issues are extremely rare.
Pick-up Day
Included in the service is full support on the day you collect your vehicle - language assistance at the dealership, video translations during the handover walkthrough, review of legal documents, appointment scheduling, and help with insurance activation. Read our full guide: what to expect on pick-up day.
Insurance
Prior to committing to a vehicle, we will arrange an insurance quote for you with our contacts at AXA or Allianz. Both agencies are English speaking and will complete the policy details with you direct.
Pricing
In most cases the service fee is 1,500 €. When you consider the cost of flights, the time involved, and the complexity of purchasing in another language, it represents strong value for a fully managed end-to-end service. Please get in touch for a specific quote detailing the proposed vehicle value, weight category and specifications required.
